2026 Toyota C-HR Plus

By Team Dailyrevs

Toyota introduces the 2026 Toyota C-HR+, a fully electric compact SUV designed for the European C-SUV battery electric vehicle (BEV) market. Featuring a sleek coupe-inspired profile, the Toyota C-HR+ combines advanced aerodynamics with a practical and spacious interior. Positioned alongside the Toyota Urban Cruiser and Toyota bZ4X, it expands Toyota’s lineup of electric SUVs. The model will be available in select European markets by late 2025, with a full rollout across Europe in 2026. Buyers will have the option of two battery capacities and both front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations, reinforcing its SUV capability.

Distinctive Design with Dedicated BEV Architecture

Built on Toyota’s e-TNGA electric vehicle platform, the Toyota C-HR+ maintains a unique identity while taking inspiration from the standard Toyota C-HR. The front design features a modern bumper, grille, and headlight setup that aligns with Toyota’s latest electric vehicle styling language. Its coupe-like silhouette enhances aerodynamics while preserving ample headroom for rear passengers. A sharply contoured rear, full-LED taillights, and an integrated spoiler contribute to a striking yet efficient exterior.

Spacious Interior with Advanced Comfort Features

The 2026 Toyota C-HR+ offers a spacious cabin within its 4,520 mm body length. A 2,750 mm wheelbase ensures a 900 mm front-rear couple distance, delivering more room than typically found in C-segment electric SUVs. The interior design emphasizes premium materials and advanced in-car technology, including two wireless smartphone chargers, rear USB ports, and independent rear cabin climate controls. A panoramic roof enhances the sense of space and natural lighting. With 416 liters of cargo space, the Toyota C-HR+ balances versatility and practicality.

Battery Options and Performance

The Toyota C-HR+ BEV will offer two battery choices. The 57.7 kWh battery powers the front-wheel drive (FWD) version, while the larger 77 kWh battery is available for both FWD and AWD configurations. The estimated maximum WLTP driving range reaches 600 km, depending on the battery pack and drivetrain. The AWD model is expected to deliver 343 DIN hp (252 kW), accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. The FWD variant generates 167 DIN hp (123 kW) with the 57.7 kWh battery and 224 DIN hp (165 kW) with the 77 kWh battery.

Toyota equips the C-HR+ BEV with an 11 kW onboard charger as standard, while the High-grade version features a 22 kW charger. Fast DC charging supports speeds up to 150 kW, enhancing charging efficiency. The vehicle integrates battery pre-conditioning for improved fast-charging performance and an energy-saving heat pump for climate control. Heated seats, steering wheel, and windscreen contribute to optimized energy use in colder conditions.

Agile Handling and Driving Dynamics

The 2026 Toyota C-HR+ benefits from Toyota’s dedicated BEV platform, delivering a low center of gravity and enhanced chassis rigidity for improved handling. Optimized spring and damper tuning, anti-roll bar stiffness, and remapped electric power steering ensure responsive driving dynamics. The AWD system enhances traction and stability, making the C-HR+ an electric SUV suitable for various road conditions.
