2026 Lotus Emira V6 SE

By Team Dailyrevs

  • The 2026 Lotus Emira V6 SE is the final gas-powered Lotus sports car, featuring a 400 hp supercharged V6 engine.

  • Offers extensive personalization with 15 exterior colors, seven interior themes, and multiple wheel and brake options.

  • Priced from £96,500 in the UK and €117,500 in Germany, with availability starting September 2025.

A Design That Speaks Quiet Confidence

There’s nothing loud about the Emira V6 SE. Lotus could’ve gone wild with graphics or aero. They didn’t — and it works. What you get is a sports car with wide shoulders, compact overhangs, and a roofline that sits low without looking hunched.

The exclusive Zinc Grey paint is cool and industrial, offset by 20-inch forged alloys, red calipers, and the extended Black Pack — all standard on this SE trim. The car squats with intent, particularly from the rear ¾ angle. Inside, Alcantara wraps the essentials, and it’s all kept honest — sport pedals, contrast stitching, not much fluff. Everything feels purpose-built.

Pure V6 Power, the Old-School Way

Under the rear deck sits a 3.5-liter supercharged V6, still sourced from Toyota but tweaked to Lotus spec. It makes 400 hp and is paired to a six-speed manual gearbox and a mechanical limited-slip diff. That means proper feel — no fake dual-clutch drama, no torque trickery.

It’s rear-wheel drive only. Lotus sticks with hydraulic steering too, because it still matters. 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. Feels believable. Feels fast enough for a car that weighs far less than its competitors.

Built to Be Yours

Lotus clearly knows that the buyers of this car aren’t cross-shopping on paper specs alone. The Emira V6 SE comes with an unusually broad range of customization for a car this focused. You get 15 exterior colors, seven interior themes, four caliper finishes, eight wheel designs. It's a proper spec-your-own setup.

And because this is the final combustion Emira, the spec matters. The SE trim comes with Tour suspension, tailored for road use. Optional Sports setup is available if you're chasing grip. Either way, the chassis stays analog.

A Bookend, Not a Throwback

This isn’t a nostalgia piece. It’s a last clean exit before Lotus goes fully electric. Yes, they updated the HVAC and the cooling system for better refinement, but they didn’t touch the fundamentals. The Emira V6 SE still prioritizes connection over noise.

Starting at £96,500 in the UK and €117,500 in Germany, it’s not cheap. But then again, nothing about the car feels mass-market.

This is it — the last internal-combustion Lotus. And it shows up without a gimmick. Just focus, balance, and a proper six-speed.
