A Familiar Shape, Now Sharper in Black
Chevrolet’s marking 100 years in Brazil the best way it knows how — with a truck. The 2026 Chevrolet S10 100 Years edition builds on the rugged Z71, but this time it’s dressed almost entirely in black. Black 18-inch wheels, black bumpers, black door handles, black mirror caps. Even the sports bar in the bed picks up a special two-tone, body-colored and black finish that you don’t see on the regular Z71.
It’s not trying to reinvent anything. Proportions stay familiar — upright cab, strong shoulders over the rear wheels, short front overhang. But the dark detailing really tightens the look, making the S10 feel a little tougher, a little more serious without trying too hard. A tonneau cover comes standard, tying everything together at the back.
Inside: Businesslike with Small Pops of Color
Open the door and the black theme continues. Pretty much everything inside has been darkened, but it’s not oppressive. Red seatbelts cut through the gloom a little, giving it a sporty edge. Like the Z71 it’s based on, the S10 100 Years edition is decently loaded — keyless entry, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, and a big 11-inch touchscreen running Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There's also an 8-inch digital instrument cluster that’s clear and sharp without being overdesigned.
Rear USB ports (both C and A types) and a premium-feel steering wheel with multi-function controls. Plus, there's a Wi-Fi hotspot if you’re the type who’s hauling and streaming at the same time.
Under the Hood: Sticking to the Formula
No big surprises here. It’s still powered by the 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel — good for 204 horsepower and 510 Nm of torque — paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. This engine has earned a loyal following in Brazil and elsewhere, thanks to its strong low-end grunt and durability.
Don’t expect a bunch of driver-assist features though. Chevy kept things traditional here — six airbags, hill descent control, hill start assist, electronic stability and traction control, and a high-res backup camera. No fancy lane-keeping or adaptive cruise. This one's more about tough looks and dependable performance than fancy tech.
Where It Fits
In Chevy’s S10 lineup, the 100 Years edition slots right between the Z71 and LTZ models. It’s less about adding tech and more about marking the moment with a proper special edition. Pricing hasn’t been officially listed yet, but expect it to carry a slight premium over the Z71 without touching LTZ money.
Final Thoughts
The 2026 Chevrolet S10 100 Years isn’t about flash — it’s about paying respect. By leaning into the blackout look and focusing on heritage, Chevrolet’s created a truck that feels genuinely connected to its roots in Brazil. Simple, tough, and a little meaner looking than before — just the way a proper anniversary edition should be.
