The Model Range:

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is offering the new Transporter as a panel van, panel van Plus, Kombi, and a double cab variant. Options for a high roof and an extended wheelbase are available for the Kombi and panel van versions. The Caravelle, with nine seats, is tailored for commercial passenger transport, suitable for shuttle and large-capacity taxi services. It is offered in entry-level, medium Life equipment, and top-of-the-line Style versions, with an extended wheelbase option. The PanAmericana, known for its robust all-terrain design and exclusive equipment details, is available for both the Transporter and Caravelle.

New Drive Range:

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is expanding its drive system range with the new Transporter and Caravelle versions. Available drive options include the latest turbodiesel engines (TDI), a plug-in hybrid drive, and an all-electric drive. The pre-sales phase offers three TDI engine power options: 81kW (110 PS), 110kW (150 PS), and 125kW (170 PS). The new plug-in hybrid drive (eHybrid) provides 171kW (232 PS). Soon, three electric drives with outputs of 100kW (136 PS), 160kW (218 PS), and 210kW (286 PS) will be available, alongside an urban-focused electric version with reduced power. TDI and eHybrid models have front-wheel drive, with 4MOTION all-wheel drive available for TDI versions from 110kW. All-electric models feature rear-wheel drive, with an all-wheel drive version planned. The 125kW TDI comes with an eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard, also optional for the 110kW TDI. An automatic gearbox is mandatory for the plug-in hybrid and electric models.

Characteristic Bulli Feeling:

The seventh generation of the Transporter introduces a new user experience. Key features include starting via a starter button, a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 13-inch infotainment display. The multifunction steering wheel has clearly arranged buttons, and volume adjustments are made via the steering wheel or a rotary knob. The handbrake lever is replaced by a switch for the parking brake, and a space-saving steering column selector lever improves access to the load or passenger compartment. The high and clear dash panel, high seat position, and ergonomic layout of all controls ensure a comfortable driving environment.

Perfect Usability:

The new Transporter is 5,050mm long, with a wheelbase extended by 97mm to 3,100mm. An optional wheelbase extended by 400mm is also available, making the total length 5,450mm. The exterior width of 2,032mm (without mirrors) has increased by 128mm. The maximum width between wheel housings is 1,392mm, facilitating the stowage of Euro pallets. The load compartment length on the floor of the normal-wheelbase Transporter is 2,602mm, with an extended wheelbase increasing it to 3,002mm. The new dimensions allow for a significantly increased load capacity, with the largest stowage volume being 5.8m3 for versions with a normal wheelbase and up to 9.0m3 for those with a long wheelbase and high roof. The Transporter can be equipped with up to six seats in the passenger compartment and various partitions.

Optimum Energy Supply:

The Transporter’s electrical equipment includes USB-A, USB-C, and 12V sockets, with optional 230V sockets. In diesel versions, the 230V socket is on the driver’s seat frame. Electric drive models can optionally have two additional sockets near the D-pillars, with a total output of up to 2,300 watts, suitable for various electrical devices.

Increased Payload and Towing Capacity:

Despite its size, the new Transporter fits into conventional multi-storey car parks and has a turning circle of only 11.8 metres. The maximum payload is up to 1.33 tonnes, with the ability to pull trailers weighing up to 2.8 tonnes, depending on the variant.

Enhanced Standard Equipment:

The new Transporter models come with expanded standard equipment, including LED headlights, LED tail light clusters, an electronic parking brake with Auto Hold function, a 12-inch digital instrument cluster (Digital Cockpit), an infotainment system with a 13-inch touchscreen, a multifunction steering wheel, the Keyless Start system, rain sensor, Lane Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, and Dynamic Road Sign Display. The panel van includes a partition as standard, while the Kombi features three individual seats in the second row and an audio system with six speakers.
