Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles presents the first images of the new 2025 Volkswagen Caravelle, featuring significant technical and functional upgrades. This new generation offers increased space, payload, towing capacity, and efficiency. Model Range

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles offers the new Transporter in multiple configurations: panel van, panel van Plus, Kombi, and double cab variant. The Kombi and panel van can come with a high roof and extended wheelbase. The Caravelle, designed for commercial passenger transport, is available in entry-level, medium Life, and top-of-the-line Style versions, as well as with an extended wheelbase. The PanAmericana version, known for its robust all-terrain design and exclusive features, is also available for both the Transporter and Caravelle.

New Drive Range

The new Transporter and Caravelle models come with a variety of drive systems. Options include the latest turbodiesel engines (81kW, 110kW, 125kW), a new plug-in hybrid drive (171kW), and three electric drives (100kW, 160kW, 210kW). The TDI and eHybrid models offer front-wheel drive, with the 4MOTION all-wheel drive available for TDI versions from 110kW. The all-electric models feature rear-wheel drive, with an all-wheel drive version planned. The 125kW TDI comes with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, available as an option for the 110kW TDI, and mandatory for the plug-in hybrid and electric models.

Nine Seats as Standard

The Caravelle is ideal for large-capacity taxi or shuttle services, offering nine seats as standard with a removable three-seat bench in the third row. Enhanced features include refined seat fabrics, side and curtain airbags, and an audio system with ten speakers. The medium Life equipment level adds painted bumpers, air conditioning, armrests, a height-adjustable front passenger seat, additional USB ports, and 16-inch alloy wheels.

Visually Distinctive Flagship Version

The Caravelle Style features a distinctive front with an integrated chrome strip, LED matrix headlights with cornering and poor weather light functions, and LED tail light clusters. Additional features include privacy glass, 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless locking and starting system, electrically folding exterior mirrors, two-tone leatherette seats, multifunction leather steering wheel, large center console, three-zone automatic air conditioning, and sun blinds in the second seat row. Optional features include a panoramic roof and a Harman Kardon sound system with 14 speakers.

The PanAmericana in Detail

The PanAmericana version is designed for heavy-duty use, with robust all-terrain trims, grained bumpers, and protective film wraps. Inside, it features illuminated stainless steel inlays, high-gloss black applications, chrome interior door handles, and exclusive seat fabrics with PanAmericana lettering. The Caravelle PanAmericana comes standard with new 19-inch Indianapolis alloy wheels, with optional 4MOTION all-wheel drive to enhance its rugged character and versatility.
