2025 Skoda Elroq RS UK Version
By Team Dailyrevs June 16, 2025
The 2025 Skoda Elroq RS is the brand’s first electric RS SUV, bringing sporty visuals to the compact EV class.
-
With 300 hp and AWD, it’s more performance-forward than it looks.
-
Sits beneath the Enyaq but punches above its size in presence and stance.
A Confident First Step into Electric RS Territory
The 2025 Skoda Elroq RS doesn’t arrive quietly. This is Skoda's first compact electric SUV to wear the RS badge, and it shows. If the standard Elroq is the clean-cut commuter, the RS is the one that took off the tie, threw on a track jacket, and decided it was done being polite.
Sharp Styling with Just Enough Attitude
Up front, the design is sharp, almost geometric. The slim LED headlights are pushed far out to the edges, framing a gloss-black “Tech-Deck Face” panel where a traditional grille might’ve been. There’s no pretending this is an internal combustion car. A wide front bumper and deeper air curtains help it look squatter than its size might suggest. It’s subtle by RS standards, but it’s got presence—especially in the signature Mamba Green paint.
Platform Sharing, but Not a Copy-Paste Job
The Elroq sits just below the Enyaq in Skoda’s growing EV lineup. But don’t confuse it for a budget option. This is built on the same MEB platform that underpins the VW ID.4 and Audi Q4 e-tron, which means the bones are solid. In RS trim, the Elroq packs two electric motors for a total of 300 hp and all-wheel drive. It’s not a Nürburgring chaser, but for a family-friendly crossover, it’s got enough punch to matter.
Proportions That Actually Work
Stance-wise, it rides lower than the standard version, with RS-specific suspension tuning that tightens up body control without turning every road seam into a moment of regret. The 20-inch wheels help fill out the arches, and the side profile is clean—no fake vents or overdone creases, just crisp lines and restrained detailing.
Interior Focused on the Driver, Not Just Screens
Inside, it’s all business with a hint of flair. Sports seats up front with integrated headrests, red contrast stitching, and a flat-bottom steering wheel remind you this isn’t your neighbor’s base model. Skoda’s new 13-inch floating infotainment screen sits high on the dash, paired with a tidy digital cluster and physical controls for key functions (thankfully).
Range and Real-World Relevance
As for range, the Elroq RS should offer just under 500 km (WLTP) from its 82 kWh battery pack—competitive, but not groundbreaking. Still, with 125 kW DC fast charging, it’ll top up reasonably quickly on long hauls.
The RS for the Real World
Rivals? Think Cupra Tavascan, VW ID.5 GTX, and maybe even the Kia EV6 GT, though the Elroq feels more grounded in daily usability than those shoutier options.
For Skoda, the Elroq RS is a natural next step. It’s not trying to be outrageous—it’s trying to be fun, functional, and fast enough for everyday life. And in that, it might have just nailed the brief.
