2025 Porsche Taycan GTS Sport Turismo J1 2
Porsche has introduced a substantial update to the Taycan lineup, enhancing performance, design, and functionality. The 2025 Porsche Taycan GTS Sport Turismo, along with other Taycan models, now offers higher power, extended range, and faster acceleration, complemented by improved charging efficiency. This latest generation also showcases refined styling, especially in Turbo models, and includes the updated Porsche Driver Experience with a more user-friendly display and control setup.
The 2025 Porsche Taycan GTS Sport Turismo introduces significant updates across all variants, with improved performance, range, and faster charging capabilities.
Porsche Taycan performance enhancements include faster acceleration, with the Taycan Turbo S reaching 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds, a 0.4-second improvement over previous models.
The Taycan’s range has increased by 35%, reaching up to 678 km (WLTP), making it more efficient for long-distance travel compared to earlier versions.
The 2025 Taycan models are equipped with adaptive air suspension as standard, and the optional Porsche Active Ride suspension enhances driving dynamics and comfort.
New charging technology in the Taycan enables faster recharging, with a peak rate of up to 320 kW, cutting down the charging time to 18 minutes for 10-80% SOC.
The Performance Battery Plus has been upgraded to 105 kWh, offering greater capacity while reducing weight compared to previous iterations.
Advanced powertrain improvements include a new rear-axle motor and optimized pulse inverter, contributing to increased power and efficiency in all Taycan models.
New aerodynamic wheels and reduced-rolling-resistance tires improve the Taycan’s energy efficiency, complementing the vehicle’s overall performance gains.
Updated exterior design features cleaner lines, flatter headlights, and high-resolution HD matrix headlights, along with a new illuminated rear logo and Turbonite accents for Turbo and Turbo S models.
The Taycan’s new display and control system offers enhanced user interface features, including a new mode switch on the steering wheel, improved Apple CarPlay integration, and video streaming capability for the central and passenger displays.
Available in three body variants—the sports sedan, Cross Turismo with an optional off-road package, and the Sport Turismo—the Taycan provides a range of powertrain options, including rear- and all-wheel drive. These enhanced versions are expected in Porsche Centres by spring 2024. Extensive testing, covering over 3.6 million kilometers, has fine-tuned the Taycan's all-electric performance. Notably, the primary markets for this model remain the U.S., UK, Germany, and China.
Improved Acceleration Across Models
Updated Taycan models accelerate significantly faster than their predecessors. For example, the Taycan Turbo S can now achieve 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds, a marked improvement over previous versions. The Sport Chrono package’s push-to-pass feature provides a 10-second power boost of up to 70 kW, further enhancing acceleration. Enhanced system output across models contributes to these gains, with the base Taycan gaining an additional 60 kW and the Taycan Turbo S reaching up to 700 kW/952 PS with Launch Control.
Extended Range and Faster Charging
With up to a 678 km range (WLTP), the updated Taycan offers a 35% improvement over its predecessor, reducing the frequency of charging stops. Enhanced charging capabilities include a peak rate of 320 kW at 800-volt DC charging stations, sustaining higher power levels for extended periods. This advanced charging system enables a 10–80% charge in just 18 minutes, even with the larger 105 kWh Performance Battery Plus. Optimized thermal management ensures consistent charging efficiency, even at low temperatures.
Standard Adaptive Air Suspension and Optional Active Ride System
The 2025 Taycan lineup includes adaptive air suspension as a standard feature, with the Porsche Active Ride suspension available as an option on all-wheel-drive models. This system maintains stability during dynamic maneuvers, absorbing road irregularities for a smoother drive while ensuring balanced wheel load distribution. Activated modes within the suspension system help control pitching and rolling, enhancing passenger comfort.
Enhanced Efficiency Through Advanced Engineering
The 2025 Taycan combines performance and efficiency through various innovations, including a new rear-axle motor, improved pulse inverter software, enhanced batteries, optimized thermal management, and advanced all-wheel-drive strategies. Recuperation capacity has increased by over 30%, reaching up to 400 kW during deceleration, while new aerodynamic wheels and reduced-rolling-resistance tires contribute to this efficiency.
More Comprehensive Standard Equipment
Weighing up to 15 kg less, the updated Taycan now offers more standard features, including ambient lighting, ParkAssist with a reversing camera, electrically folding mirrors, heated front seats, and wireless charging. Adaptive air suspension and aluminum door sill protectors are also standard on base models. Additionally, the Performance Battery Plus delivers higher capacity with reduced weight.
Refined Exterior Design
The 2025 Taycan showcases a cleaner, more defined aesthetic with revised front and rear styling, including flatter headlights and high-resolution HD matrix headlights with Porsche’s iconic four-point design. The rear logo now appears in a three-dimensional, glass-look style, with an illuminated version and welcome animations available. Turbo and Turbo S models stand out with Turbonite accents on the exterior and interior.
Updated Display and Control Interfaces
The 2025 Taycan features an optimized user interface on the instrument cluster, central display, and passenger display, with added functions for ease of use. A mode switch on the steering wheel is now standard, offering enhanced control of driver assistance systems through a new lever. Apple CarPlay integration has been expanded, and the In-Car Video function allows video streaming on both the central and passenger displays.
