Inspired by Motorsport: Innovative Performance-Hybrid

The 911 Carrera GTS models incorporate hybrid technology developed from motorsport expertise. The powertrain includes a strengthened eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (PDK) with an integrated synchronous motor, delivering up to 40 kW of additional power. The GTS also features an electrically driven turbocharger for improved throttle response and performance. The hybrid system is powered by a compact high-voltage battery, enhancing the overall efficiency and performance of the vehicle.

Advanced Engine and Powertrain

The newly developed 3.6-liter boxer engine in the T-Hybrid powertrain benefits from a high-voltage system, eliminating the need for a belt-driven air conditioning compressor. This results in a more compact engine design, allowing space for essential components like the pulse inverter and DC-DC converter. The new engine generates 357 kW (478 hp) and 420 lb.-ft. of torque, with a total system power of 398 kW (532 hp) and 449 lb.-ft. The 911 Carrera GTS Coupe’s weight increase compared to its predecessor is a moderate 103 lbs.

Enhanced 3.0-liter Twin-Turbo Engine

The 911 Carrera continues to use a 3.0-liter twin-turbo boxer engine, now featuring an intercooler from the 911 Turbo models and turbochargers from previous GTS models. This engine produces 290 kW (388 hp) and 331 lb.-ft. of torque, enabling the 911 Carrera Coupe to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and reach a top track speed of 183 mph.

Optimized Suspension and Aerodynamics

The 911 Carrera GTS now includes rear axle steering as standard, enhancing stability and reducing the turning circle. The optional Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) is integrated into the hybrid system, providing precise control. A sport suspension with adaptive dampers (PASM) and a 10 mm ride height reduction ensures a characteristic GTS driving experience. Seven wheel designs are available, including 911 Carrera Exclusive Design wheels with carbon fiber aeroblades.

Refreshed Exterior Design

Porsche has refined the exterior design of the new 911, focusing on aerodynamics and performance. The front fascia features larger air intakes and standard LED Matrix design headlights. The 911 Carrera GTS models include active air flaps and adaptive front diffusors for optimized airflow. The rear design features a new light band with “PORSCHE”-lettering, an updated rear decklid grille, and model-specific exhaust systems.

Modern Interior and Connectivity

The new 911 models come standard as two-seaters, with an optional 2+2 configuration. The interior combines traditional 911 design with modern technology. The Porsche Driver Experience offers intuitive control of key functions, including a fully digital instrument cluster with a 12.6-inch curved display. The Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system features a high-resolution 10.9-inch central display, enhanced connectivity, and integrated Apple CarPlay®. Video streaming is also available as an option.

Pricing and Availability

The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera is available to order as a Coupe or Cabriolet with rear-wheel drive. The 2025 911 Carrera GTS is offered in rear and all-wheel drive models, as well as a Targa variant with all-wheel drive. Deliveries of the new 2025 911 Carrera models to U.S. Porsche Centers are expected to start in the fall, with 911 Carrera GTS models arriving at the end of 2024. The 2025 model range includes the current 911 Turbo, Turbo S, and GT3 RS models, with unchanged pricing.
