This power upgrade increases torque from the previous model’s 235 lb-ft to 280 lb-ft, allowing the MINI John Cooper Works 2 Door to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.9 seconds, while the Convertible achieves the same in 6.2 seconds. The 2 Door has a top speed of 155 mph, while the Convertible reaches 152 mph.

The base price for the MINI John Cooper Works 2 Door in the US starts at $38,200, with an additional destination and handling fee of $995. The MINI John Cooper Works Convertible begins at $43,700, plus the same destination charge. Production is scheduled to begin in November, with availability at US dealerships expected by early January 2025.
