The new 2025 Kia EV6 features an upgraded 84.0kWh battery, providing enhanced range and power. The base ‘Air’ model is powered by a single rear-wheel-drive motor, delivering 225 bhp and 350Nm of torque, allowing for a range of up to 361 miles* on a single charge, making it one of the most efficient options in its segment.
For
those seeking additional power and all-wheel-drive capabilities, the
‘GT-Line’ and ‘GT-Line S’ models are available with either the standard
rear-wheel drive or a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. The AWD
variants boost power output to 320 bhp and torque to 605Nm. Despite the
increased performance, the AWD ‘GT-Line’ and ‘GT-Line S’ can still
achieve up to 339 and 324 miles on a single charge, respectively.
Additionally, the ‘GT-Line S’ offers an optional heat pump, optimizing
efficiency in colder climates.
The 2025 Kia EV6
also benefits from advanced battery technology, featuring an improved
charging curve with 800V capability. This allows the 84.0kWh battery to
be recharged from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes, with a peak charging
performance of 258kW—an 8% improvement over its predecessor. A quick
15-minute charge can provide up to 343 kilometers of range, offering
convenience for both city and long-distance driving.
UK deliveries of the new Kia EV6
will commence in the third quarter of 2024. The vehicle will be
available in the ‘Air,’ ‘GT-Line,’ and ‘GT-Line S’ variants, catering to
a variety of customer preferences. Fleet customers will particularly
benefit from a favorable 2% benefit-in-kind (BIK) rate for electric
vehicles in the 2024/25 tax year, with a slight increase to 3% for
2025/26.
The
high-performance EV6 GT is also set to join the lineup in early 2025,
further expanding Kia’s electric vehicle offerings in the UK market.
