Exterior Design Enhancements

The 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is defined by its Parametric Dynamics design language, featuring jewel-like surface detailing. Revised front and rear bumper fascia, a redesigned grille, and a bold new daytime running light signature provide a substantial, more planted look. Tucson's signature daytime running lights have been updated from ten smaller units to eight larger ones, enhancing visibility both day and night. The XRT model also gains raised roof side rails, adding rugged outdoor capability.

Redesigned Interior and Infotainment

Inside, the 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid boasts a more open, tech-forward cabin with a redesigned panoramic curved display. This integrates a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an enlarged 12.3-inch infotainment display. The center stack has been redesigned, adding ergonomic controls for frequent-use functions like audio and HVAC. The updated center console, steering wheel, and door panel accents improve usability and aesthetics. Premium models now offer acoustic laminated front side windows for reduced cabin noise. A wireless 15-watt charging pad is repositioned for easier driver access, while the infotainment system now includes faster processing speeds, better graphics, and more intuitive layouts.

Human-Centric Technology Integration

The 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid supports over-the-air (OTA) updates for its powertrain, safety, multimedia, and mapping systems. Wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® are standard across all models. A new 12-inch color Head-Up Display (HUD) projects turn-by-turn directions when connected to CarPlay® or Android Auto™, improving driver convenience. Additionally, a fingerprint authentication sensor enhances security by allowing drivers to start the vehicle without a smart key. Bluelink+ services are now complimentary, including key safety features like Auto Collision Assistance and Remote Diagnostics.

Enhanced Safety

For 2025, the Tucson Hybrid adds Forward Attention Warning (FAW), which tracks the driver’s gaze using an infrared camera to monitor attentiveness. The Smart Cruise Control 2 system helps maintain alertness and, if necessary, can safely bring the vehicle to a stop, activating the hazard lights and electronic parking brake. The Tucson Hybrid also features standard rear outboard seatbelt pretensioners for improved safety.

Smartstream™ Powertrain Options

The 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid offers a choice between a Smartstream™ 2.5-liter gasoline engine and a 1.6-liter turbocharged hybrid or plug-in hybrid powertrain. The 1.6-liter hybrid engine produces 178 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque, with a total hybrid system output of 231 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission for smooth and efficient driving performance. The Plug-In Hybrid version offers a more powerful 72.0-kW electric motor and a 13.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, providing a robust 268 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque.

Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid Technologies

Both hybrid models come equipped with Hyundai’s HTRAC® all-wheel-drive system, offering driving modes for various conditions, including Normal, Sport, and Snow. New for 2025 is the My Drive mode, which allows for more personalized driving preferences. A new Baby Mode provides gentler acceleration for a smoother ride, ideal for passengers with infants or pets. Additionally, Green Zone drive mode optimizes electric-only driving in urban areas where eco-friendly driving is encouraged.

e-Motion Driving Dynamics

Tucson Hybrid models are equipped with Hyundai’s e-Motion technology, which adjusts electric motor torque based on road conditions and driving inputs. This enhances cornering and provides a more agile driving experience for heightened confidence and dynamic control.
