Hyundai Motor Company introduced the INSTER, an all-electric A-segment sub-compact EV, at the 2024 Busan International Mobility Show. INSTER combines futuristic design, segment-leading range, and advanced technology.
Featuring a spacious interior within a small SUV body, INSTER offers up to 355 km of all-electric range and fast charging capabilities. Its compact size enhances efficiency and maneuverability, making it ideal for urban driving.
Built on the design principles of the Korea-only CASPER, INSTER boasts an extended body and wheelbase for increased interior space and a robust road presence. It bridges the gap between A-segment city cars and larger compacts, offering practicality without compromising on space.
"With INSTER, Hyundai redefines the sub-compact EV with distinctive design and a versatile interior," said Simon Loasby, Senior Vice President of Hyundai Design Center. The exterior features robust SUV styling, LED lighting signatures, and optional two-tone colors with a contrasting black roof.
Inside, INSTER integrates advanced technology with a 10.25-inch digital cluster, touchscreen infotainment, and customizable interior trims. Practicality is enhanced with fold-flat seats, a front bench option, and ample storage solutions.
Equipped with a 42 kWh standard battery and an optional 49 kWh Long-Range variant, INSTER delivers up to 355 km of range on a single charge. Fast-charging capabilities allow for 30-minute charges from 10% to 80%, supported by Vehicle-to-Load functionality for powering external devices.
Hyundai's commitment to technology includes a comprehensive suite of driver assistance features, from Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) to Hyundai Digital Key 2 Touch (NFC) accessibility.
