2025 Classic Recreations Diamond Edition Shelby Cobra
By Team Dailyrevs June 21, 2025
The 2025 Classic Recreations Diamond Edition Shelby Cobra is a limited-run tribute with carbon-fiber construction and modern muscle under the hood..
-
Powered by a 5.0L Gen 3 Coyote V8 with 815 horsepower, it’s anything but subtle.
-
Only 10 will be built—each costing $1.2 million and tailored by hand.
A Familiar Shape with Sharpened Intent
The 2025 Diamond Edition Shelby Cobra doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel. It just makes it faster. Much faster. At a glance, it looks like the Cobra you’d find framed in a garage shrine—long hood, stubby rear, and curves that look hand-drawn. But look closer, and things get serious. The reflections in the bodywork? Razor-sharp thanks to a full carbon-fiber body—every panel.
The stance is lower, wider. The body sits like it’s bracing for launch. Round headlights, side pipes, and exposed fuel filler nod to the original, but nothing feels fragile here. It's clean. It’s tight. And it looks fast even when it’s still.
Under the Hood: Pure Violence
Power comes from a 5.0-liter Gen 3 Ford Coyote V8, and if that wasn’t enough, it’s topped with a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger. Together, they deliver 815 horsepower to the rear wheels through a manual transmission.
There’s no traction control. No driver modes. No soft landing if you overcook a corner. With a curb weight under 2,300 pounds, this thing hits like a sledgehammer on polished concrete. It's not designed to coddle—it’s designed to challenge.
A Cabin That Respects the Past
Inside, the Cobra balances tradition and precision. There’s diamond-stitched leather, billet aluminum switchgear, and a push-to-start button. It’s spartan, but not rough. A digital gauge cluster keeps the driver informed, while the rest of the space sticks to analog sensibility. You sit low, with the windshield barely brushing your eye line. It feels intimate—and dangerous.
Everything’s focused on the drive. No screens, no distractions. Just the engine in front, tires out back, and the road under your feet.
Only Ten Will Ever Exist
Classic Recreations will build just 10 examples of the Diamond Edition. Each one is hand-assembled and tuned, with no two exactly alike. At $1.2 million, it’s not aimed at casual collectors—it’s for enthusiasts who appreciate analog brutality in a hyper-digital era.
Compared to Singer’s air-cooled 911s or even something like a Gordon Murray T.33, the Diamond Cobra offers similar exclusivity with even fewer frills.
