2025 BYD Sea Lion 07 PHEV

On March 2, BYD Hiace 07 DM-i/DM-p Intelligent Driving Edition debuted. The new car is positioned as a mid-size SUV, adopts plug-in hybrid power, and is equipped with the fifth-generation DM technology. At the same time, BYD also released the Lingyuan intelligent vehicle-mounted drone system that night. Hiace 07 DM-i is one of the first models equipped with BYD Lingyuan intelligent vehicle-mounted drone system.

First of all, the Sea Lion 07DM-i Intelligent Driving Edition adopts a new "ocean aesthetics" design concept, with a futuristic exterior design. The E-shaped front headlights are connected through and smoked, and there are two air intakes under the lights. The low-end model is expected to adopt the pure visual God's Eye C solution, supporting high-speed navigation; while the high-end model will be equipped with laser radar, will adopt the God's Eye B solution, and will support urban intelligent driving.

In terms of body size, the new car has a length, width and height of 4880/1920/1750mm and a wheelbase of 2820mm. From the side of the body, we can see that the new car pays more attention to space practicality. The rear of the vehicle is a common through-type taillight style in the Ocean Network family, with a smoked black design, and the overall rear surround looks quite dynamic.

As a model equipped with a drone, the BYD Haisheng 07 DM Intelligent Driving Edition has a dark-colored protruding drone compartment at the rear, which is very recognizable. The BYD Lingyuan intelligent vehicle-mounted drone system it carries is jointly developed by BYD and DJI. BYD said that in the future, its Dynasty, Ocean, Fangchengbao, Tengshi, and Yangwang SUV models are expected to launch solutions equipped with Lingyuan intelligent vehicle-mounted drones.

Based on the strategic cooperation between BYD and DJI, the world's first vehicle-mounted drone integrated with a whole vehicle, the Sea Lion 07DM-i Intelligent Driving Edition can realize dynamic take-off and landing of drones, intelligent follow-up flight, and one-key return to the cabin. The vehicle system has a built-in Lingyuan APP, which can take pictures with one click.

The interior of the new car is still under confidentiality. Combined with the previous spy photos, we can see that the steering wheel of the new car has been replaced with a new style, the button design is more concise, and the door switches in the car will return to the traditional "handle" style. However, the test car does not represent the final mass production status, so we are still looking forward to what surprises the real car interior will bring to everyone.

In terms of power, the new car has two power versions: two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. The four-wheel drive version is named Haishi 07DM-p. This is the first time that the DM-p model has appeared since the release of the fifth-generation DM technology. The DM-P model will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5T engine and dual motors. The maximum power of the engine is 115kW, the maximum power of the front motor is 200kW, and the maximum power of the rear motor is 150kW. Its 0-100km/h acceleration time may be 4.7 seconds.
