A Sharp, Fast First Impression

The 2025 ArcFox 77 Concept doesn’t just enter the electric hypercar race—it throws down a serious challenge.
Sharp angles, scissor doors, and those taut surfaces give it a shape that looks like it’s slicing through the air even when parked. There’s a strong sense of purpose in the way the low-slung nose, wide hips, and minimalist lighting are pulled together. 
It’s aggressive without being cartoonish, futuristic without trying too hard.

And it’s fast. Really fast. Beneath the carbon-fiber bodywork lives a quartet of electric motors pushing out a combined 1,600 horsepower (1,200 kW) and 800 Nm (around 590 lb-ft) of torque. ArcFox claims 0-60 mph in just 2.6 seconds and a top speed nudging 158 mph. For context, that puts it right up there with cars like the Rimac Nevera, at least on paper.

The Hardware Behind the Looks

ArcFox wasn’t messing around with the technical package either. Double-wishbone suspension up front, multi-link in the back—no shortcuts here. Carbon-ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers haul it down from 62 mph in just 35 meters. That’s hypercar-level stopping power.

The battery tech shows some smart thinking too. Instead of a conventional heavy pack, ArcFox uses an all-carbon structure with honeycomb aluminum, trimming weight while boosting strength. Range is expected to top 400 km (about 248 miles), and thanks to 85-kW fast charging, you’re looking at 20% to 80% in roughly 30 minutes. Not bad for something designed more for speed than sipping electrons.

All in, the 77 weighs just 1,840 kg (around 4,056 pounds)—light, considering how much hardware it's packing underneath.


China’s High-Speed Entry Into the Hypercar Club

ArcFox, part of China's BAIC Group, is clearly signaling big ambitions here. The 77 Concept isn’t just a flashy EV; it’s aimed squarely at players like the Lotus Evija and Rimac Nevera.

Having designer Walter De Silva involved doesn’t hurt either. His touch brings an extra layer of credibility to the car’s proportions and surfacing—smooth where it needs to be, sharp where it counts.

There’s still a road ahead before ArcFox can claim it’s truly at the top of the hypercar heap. But if the 77 Concept is any hint, it’s clear they’re not just playing catch-up anymore—they’re setting the pace for a new wave of high-speed, high-style EVs coming out of China.
