2024 Polestar TRX Concept

Polestar, the Swedish electric performance vehicle brand, has announced the winner of its 2024 Design Contest. This year’s event, in partnership with Hot Wheels, challenged designers to create concepts inspired by both the Hot Wheels 1:64 scale cars and Polestar’s signature design style.The winning design, 'Polestar TRX Concept,' created by Indian designer Shashank Shekhar, stands out with its rugged off-road features and bold proportions.

This concept pushes Polestar's typically understated design language, presenting a more aggressive aesthetic. The TRX will become the first Polestar design featured in the Hot Wheels collection, set for release as a die-cast model in the summer of 2025.

Reflecting on his achievement, Shekhar said, "It’s a significant milestone in my career, and I never expected my design to be turned into a Hot Wheels car. It has boosted my confidence as a young designer."
