Mercedes-Benz has updated the GLE lineup with refreshed exterior and interior features, advanced technology, and improved equipment. The electrified powertrain includes mild hybrids with a 48-volt system and Integrated Starter Generator (ISG), along with fourth-generation plug-in hybrids. Most models gain additional power, including the GLE 400 e 4MATIC, which sees an increase of 30 kW.

The Driving Assistance Package includes updated Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Steering Assist, and Traffic Sign Assist. With all-wheel drive and a high-traction gear ratio, the GLE supports a 3.5-tonne towing capacity and 140 kg tongue weight. A fully electric trailer coupling enables easy attachment via a button in the tailgate or central display. A reinforced ball neck allows secure bicycle rack mounting, supporting up to 100 kg, including e-bikes.

The Trailer Route Planner calculates optimal routes based on trailer size, weight restrictions, and speed limits. Traffic Sign Assist adjusts speed limits accordingly. The Extended Trailer Manoeuvring Assist simplifies reversing and navigating tight spaces, offering camera-based guidance via the touchscreen.

Exterior Design Updates

Refinements to the exterior include a redesigned front bumper, updated grille with chrome inserts, and LED High-Performance headlamps with distinctive daytime running lights.
