With the top model GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE Coupe, we now also offer our innovative hybrid drive in this segment, which guarantees an extensive range of driving experience."

The sporty silhouette with a flowing transition to the rear takes center stage in the new Mercedes‑AMG GLC Coupe. The headlights are seamlessly integrated with the AMG-specific radiator trim, accentuating the vehicle's width. The AMG front apron, featuring a jet wing design with large air inlets, vertical fins, and additional flics, adds striking, standalone accents. Precise side edges emphasize the sporty proportions and the muscular wheel arches.

The wheel arch trim and AMG side skirt trim blend harmoniously with the elegant base shape. The confident appearance is further highlighted by the wide track and flush-fitting wheels available in 19, 20, or 21-inch formats. Several factory wheel options offer a glossy aesthetic with bi-color surfaces. Additional features include entry-optimized running boards and various packages.

The taillights, consisting of two parts, visually broaden the rear view with a black, dark red connecting element. The AMG‑specific rear apron, characterized by a diffuser look (GLC 43) or an additional diffuser board (GLC 63 S) and dual tailpipe trims (round on the GLC 43, trapezoidal on the GLC 63 S), reinforce the powerful impression.

Inside, characteristic AMG elements contribute to a sporty and elegant ambiance. AMG seats in ARTICO man-made leather/MICROCUT AMG microfiber, adorned with unique graphics and covers, imbue a sporty touch. Optional upholstery in leather and Nappa leather, featuring an embossed AMG coat of arms in the front headrests, is also available. The AMG performance seats can be chosen as options.

The standard AMG Performance steering wheel, upholstered in Nappa leather (GLC 43) or Nappa leather/MICROCUT microfiber (GLC 63 S), features a flattened bottom, perforation in the grip area, and silver-colored aluminum shift paddles. Two circular AMG steering wheel buttons enable swift and precise operation of various driving dynamics functions and the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT driving programs. Completing the sporty, luxurious atmosphere are AMG sports pedals, AMG floor mats, and illuminated door sills with AMG lettering.

The MBUX infotainment system incorporates various AMG-specific displays and functions. These encompass independent displays in the instrument cluster, the portrait format multimedia central display in the center console, and the optional head-up display. The AMG exclusive “Supersport” style offers the flexibility to display a variety of content via a vertical structure. This includes a setup menu showcasing current chassis or transmission settings, a navigation map, or consumption data in “Supersport” style.

Additionally, the AMG TRACK PACE (standard in the GLC 63 S, optional for the GLC 43) serves as a data logger for use on the racetrack. The software records over 80 vehicle-specific data points ten times per second during racetrack driving, such as speed, acceleration, steering angle, and brake pedal operation. It also provides lap and sector times, along with valuable training and analysis tools.

To power these impressive machines, Mercedes-AMG turns to the AMG 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine equipped with an electric exhaust turbocharger. This engine, known internally as M139l, is charged using an electric exhaust gas turbocharger through the 48-volt on-board electrical system, a technology derived from Formula 1™. The result is incredibly responsive performance across the entire speed range, providing a dynamic driving experience while enhancing efficiency.

The AMG 2.0-liter engine's electric exhaust gas turbocharger features an electric motor directly integrated onto the turbocharger shaft, accelerating the compressor wheel before traditional exhaust gas flow takes over. This innovative approach improves response behavior from idle speed and across the entire rev range. Additionally, it enables higher torque at low speeds, enhancing agility and acceleration from a standstill. This electric turbocharging technology maintains boost pressure even during throttle release or braking, ensuring continuous and immediate response.

Compared to the GLC 43, the GLC 63 S boasts a larger turbocharger for increased air flow and performance. It also features an integrated electric motor powered by a 400-volt high-voltage system.

In the GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE Coupé, the M139l engine delivers 350 kW (476 hp) at 6,725 rpm, making it the world's most powerful production four-cylinder engine. The maximum combustion engine torque of 545 Nm is available at 5,250-5,500 rpm. This model combines the 2.0-liter engine with a permanently excited synchronous electric motor, a high-performance battery developed in Affalterbach, and the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive. The result is an impressive system output of 500 kW (680 hp) and a maximum system torque of 1,020 Nm, enabling rapid acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 275 km/h.

This dynamic duo features a 150 kW (204 hp) electric motor situated on the rear axle, integrated with an electrically switched two-speed transmission and an electronically controlled rear axle limited-slip differential within a compact Electric Drive Unit (EDU). The rear axle's electrification allows for immediate power transfer to the rear wheels, enhancing responsiveness during starts, acceleration, or overtaking maneuvers. Furthermore, thanks to the 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system, torque distribution between the front and rear axles is continuously variable, ensuring optimal traction and driving stability in all conditions.

The high-performance battery is located at the rear above the rear axle, ensuring a low center of gravity. It boasts a capacity of 6.1 kWh and a system voltage of 400 volts. The battery can be charged externally via plug-in technology or via the engine while driving. When connected to a Mercedes-Benz Wallbox or a public charging station, it can be charged at up to 60 kW using the onboard 11 kW AC charger, ensuring it's ready for action in no time.

The driving dynamics are further enhanced by AMG DYNAMICS, integrated into the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT driving modes. Depending on the selected mode, the system orchestrates various aspects of driving behavior, including how the vehicle responds to steering, acceleration, and more. This fine-tuning ensures that the GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE Coupe feels agile, stable, and predictable, no matter the driving situation.

As a plug-in hybrid, the GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE Coupe offers multiple driving modes, allowing drivers to tailor their experience to their preferences and needs. In addition to the familiar AMG DYNAMIC SELECT driving modes, the GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE Coupe features specific modes that optimize the interaction between the combustion engine and electric motor. These include Electric, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, and Individual modes, all accessible via the steering wheel buttons and the MBUX infotainment system.

The Electric mode enables purely electric driving for emissions-free, locally quiet, and efficient urban mobility. The combustion engine is only engaged when the driver requests high power or the battery's state of charge drops below a certain threshold. In Electric mode, the GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE Coupe can reach speeds of up to 140 km/h (87 mph) purely on electric power, providing ample capability for city driving.

In Comfort mode, the GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE Coupe operates as a classic hybrid, intelligently switching between the combustion engine and electric motor to maximize efficiency and performance.
