2024 Fiat Pandina Special Series

The presentation date of February 29 pays homage to the historic launch of the first Panda in 1980, which was presented to the President of the Italian Republic Sandro Pertini on the same date. The press conference, broadcast on YouTube ( LINK ), was held by Olivier Francois, FIAT CEO and Global Stellantis CMO, at the Giambattista Vico plant in Pomigliano d'Arco, southern Italy, where the Panda has been produced since 2011.

For forty-four years, Panda has meant fun and sociability, the iconic and sparkling Fiat Panda is the market leader in Italy and Europe, with over 8 million units sold during its history. Like every Panda, the Pandina special series is also the social car par excellence, and is inspired by the unique values ​​of simplicity, creativity and functionality. The name is a tribute to people's love for this "life partner" who has always been affectionately called "Pandina".

Equipped with new Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a new digital dashboard and a new steering wheel, this special series is the most technological and safest Panda ever. With the launch of the new Pandina, FIAT takes a huge leap into the future, improving the customer experience through important developments in terms of safety and technology, while maintaining the versatility and accessibility typical of its iconic model.

The Pandina special series features important updates in terms of ADAS, as usual for FIAT offering simple solutions to customer needs, not for the search for technology as has always been the case for the Panda.

The standard equipment includes brand new functions designed to assist the driver both in the city and outside: the automatic emergency braking system, to reduce rear-end collisions, such as in city traffic; the roadway maintenance system; the Tiredness Detector to warn the driver when he is tired. Also included is Traffic Sign Recognition, which detects and recognizes road signs by displaying them on the new 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Moving from safety to practicality, the rear parking sensors ensure maximum simplicity when parking on crowded city streets, while Cruise Control maintains the set speed - starting from 30 km/h - without pressing your foot on the accelerator pedal. The automatic high beams then automatically adapt the lighting to traffic conditions, making night driving easier for the driver. Furthermore, 6 airbags complete the standard safety equipment.

Most functionality is handled by a camera mounted on the interior rearview mirror.

The special series offers passengers a new 7'' fully digital instrument panel with three different graphic modes and a revamped steering wheel. The Pandina is also equipped with a brand new 7'' touchscreen DAB Radio with Apple CarPlay and Android AutoTM.

From a design point of view, it features a new white painted dashboard fascia and new seats with embossed "Pandina" monogram and logo, double yellow stitching, white details and Seaqual yarn containing a sustainable and fully traceable raw material obtained from marine waste.

The exteriors are enriched with playful details such as the panda face on the hubcap, the yellow rear-view mirror caps, the Pandina writing on the side moldings and the "Pandina" screen printing on the rear window.

In addition to the existing colors - Bianco Gelato, Nero Cinema, Rosso Passione and Blu Italia - Pandina offers the new Giallo Positano and new two-tone combinations (contrasting black roof).

The new Pandina special series will be available starting this summer in the main European countries.
