2024 BYD Qin L

On April 17, we obtained the official picture of BYD’s new model- Qin L. In the future, with the launch of this car, it will form a two-car layout together with Qin PLUS to meet the car purchasing needs of different users. It is worth mentioning that the new car will be unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show, which opens on April 25, and its starting price may be more than 120,000 yuan in the future.

In terms of appearance, the new car adopts the "New National Trend Dragon Face Aesthetics". The large-size front grille is decorated with dot matrix elements inside, which has a prominent visual effect. At the same time, the headlights are long, narrow and sharp, and are highly integrated with the upward luminous "dragon whiskers". The integrated design not only makes the dragon's appearance more three-dimensional, but also amplifies the horizontal visual effect of the front face.

Viewed from the side of the car body, its waistline runs from the front fender to the rear door, making the body more slender. Together with the recessed ribs under the door, it creates a three-dimensional cutting effect and highlights the strength of the vehicle. At the same time, it adopts a fastback design, presenting a "low-lying" posture, making it more youthful.

At the rear, the wider rear shoulder surround design not only echoes the front face, but also adds to the muscularity of the body contour. At the same time, the car adopts a through-type taillight shape, which is inspired by Chinese knots, making it highly recognizable. In terms of model size, its length, width and height are 4830/1900/1495mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2790mm. For comparison, the body size of the current Qin PLUS model on sale is 4765/1837/1495mm, and the wheelbase is 2718mm. It can be said that the Qin L is overall larger than the Qin PLUS.

In terms of power, according to previous declaration information, the new car will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 1.5L engine and an electric motor, and has BYD's fifth-generation DM-i hybrid technology. The maximum power of the engine is 74 kilowatts and the maximum power of the motor is 160 kilowatts. The new car is equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries from Zhengzhou Fudi. The batteries are available in 15.874kWh and 10.08kWh for consumers to choose from, corresponding to pure electric cruising ranges of 90km and 60km respectively.
