On September 26, 2024, Avatr officially launched the 2024 Avatr 07 Ultra, offering six model variations. The price range for the extended-range version starts from 219,900 yuan to 279,900 yuan, while the pure electric version is priced between 229,900 yuan and 289,900 yuan. Positioned as a medium-sized SUV, the Avatr 07 comes with both pure electric and extended-range powertrain options. The model is the first to feature the Kunlun extended-range system and includes Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 3.0 and Hongmeng 4.0 car system.

Design and Exterior Features

The Avatr 07 follows a "Future Elegance" design concept, presenting a unique and recognizable front fascia compared to its predecessors, the Avatr 11 and 12. The five available exterior colors include gravel black, white, rock gray, crystal green, and star purple. The vehicle's HALO interactive screen, measuring 151x1249mm, is an LED dynamic display composed of 10,500 LED beads, making it one of the largest interactive screens in the market. The pure electric version also features an active air intake grille.

The side profile is defined by inward-retracted abdominal lines and a small rear window angle, enhancing its dynamic stance. With dimensions of 4825mm in length, 1980mm in width, and a height of 1620mm, along with a wheelbase of 2940mm, the SUV offers a spacious interior. Wheel options include 20-inch and 21-inch variations, and the rear is fitted with narrow and long taillights for a cleaner visual appeal. Unlike the Avatr 12, the Avatr 07 uses a conventional rear window design.

Interior and Technology

The interior is centered around luxury and advanced technology. High-end models include a four-screen cockpit with a 15.6-inch central control screen, a 35.4-inch 4K remote screen, and dual 6.7-inch rearview mirror screens, all integrated with Huawei's Hongmeng 4.0 ecosystem. Other features include dual zero-gravity massage seats, electric sunshades, foldable electronic rearview mirrors, and Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 3.0, which features 192-line laser radar and 27 intelligent driving sensors.

In terms of storage, the Avatr 07 provides a 90L front trunk capable of storing a 20L suitcase. The rear trunk offers a flexible 500-1325L space with two hidden storage compartments under the floor, adding another 60L of capacity.

Powertrain Options

The 2024 Avatr 07 Ultra offers both extended-range and pure electric powertrain options. The extended-range version uses Avatr's Kunlun system, powered by a 1.5T engine and motor combination, available in both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. The 1.5T engine generates 115kW, while the two-wheel drive version produces 231kW of power. The four-wheel drive setup includes a 131kW front motor and a 231kW rear motor, powered by a 39.05kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The CLTC pure electric range for these versions is 230km and 220km, respectively.

The pure electric model is available in both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. The two-wheel drive motor delivers 252kW, while the four-wheel drive version’s motors output 188kW at the front and 252kW at the rear. Both variants are equipped with CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries, offering a pure electric driving range of 650km and 610km.

Suspension and Handling

The Avatr 07 is equipped with an all-aluminum alloy double-wishbone front suspension and an H-arm multi-link rear suspension, using a full-frame subframe made from cast aluminum. Additionally, the SUV features air springs with CDC dynamic damping shock absorbers, allowing for adjustable ride heights between +40mm and -30mm. The suspension system can switch between low, medium, high, and adaptive modes, and can also be adjusted manually across three settings.
