On June 27, we were thrilled to unveil the official image of the highly anticipated 2023 Qiyuan A07 by Changan Automobile. As the flagship model of their new Qiyuan series, this medium-to-large pure electric sedan brings forth an innovative design language, sporting a fresh logo and a captivating aesthetic that sets it apart from its predecessors.

Exterior Design: A Glimpse into the Future

The 2023 Qiyuan A07 boasts a distinctive design, exuding a sense of futurism. With its strikingly bold headlight cluster and a three-stage air intake positioned below, the car immediately catches the eye. The front fascia exhibits a dynamic appeal, featuring a sturdy yet sleek profile and raised ribs on the motor/engine compartment cover, creating an alluring visual effect that's reminiscent of a diving motion.

Sleek Silhouette and Sporty Elements

The car's smooth side lines and a subtly sloping rear design, along with concealed door handles and aerodynamically designed low-drag rims, contribute to its sporty character. At the rear, the Qiyuan A07 showcases a through-type taillight group with blackened accents, perfectly complemented by an integrated ducktail spoiler, enhancing the overall sense of movement. Its dimensions measure 4905mm in length, 1910mm in width, 1480mm in height, and boasts a wheelbase of 2900mm. Additionally, consumers can choose between 225/55 R18 and 245/45 R19 tire specifications, based on their preferred configuration.

The range-extender variant utilizes a 1.5L Atkinson cycle engine (JL473QJ) delivering a maximum power of 95 horsepower. Furthermore, the electric motor in the range-extender model, with a power output of 160kW, aligns with the existing Deep Blue SL03 extended-range version. On the other hand, the pure electric variant is equipped with a powerful XTDM27 drive motor boasting a maximum power of 258 horsepower.
