The result of the agreement between the FIAT brand and Garmin, the global company that has been developing devices with integrated satellite technology for over 30 years, this new trim is added to the Cross and (Red) trim levels that have already contributed to the success of the two models. Suffice it to say that Panda and Tipo represent almost 50% of total sales of FIAT cars, and the cross versions of Panda and Tipo make up an important percentage of the sales mix of the respective models: one in four Panda is sold in the cross configuration, with a growing trend, while one in two types is Cross. Now the baton passes to the Garmin special series, a real “concentrate” of versatility, technological innovation and gritty design. These are the peculiarities shared by FIAT and Garmin, a vision that interprets and satisfies the desires of a dynamic, sporty customer who is constantly looking for smart products to experience the same emotions of the outdoors in the city, without sacrificing style and distinctiveness. The new Forest Green metallic livery makes its debut on both cars, exclusive to the new Garmin special series, a clear tribute to an adventurous lifestyle, embellished with orange details, exclusive matt light gray external features and dedicated wheels that accentuate the cross look. . And the same aesthetic characterization is found in the interiors with specific upholstery with orange details.

Garmin type special series

Also characterized by the exclusive Forest Green livery, the Garmin Type special series offers orange elements – side line sticker, some grille inserts to compose a triangle and the word “Garmin” on the badge placed on the central pillar – and details in matt black, including door handles and roof bars. The end result is a strong and bold color combination, which is further enhanced by the new light gray matte paint used on the mirror caps, skid plates, front grille inserts, fog lamp bezels, side skirts and front and rear bumpers. Certainly the new version will not go unnoticed in a metropolitan context dominated by neutral colors. The exteriors are completed by the exclusive 17 ”black alloy wheels with orange elements, the front and rear LED headlights.

The interior reflects the same exterior characterization, as evidenced by the orange details on the seats. The driver can also enjoy the fully configurable 7 ”TFT digital cluster, which allows you to have the status of the car, the multimedia part and the telephone under control. In addition, the cluster is combined with the UConnect 5 radio with 10.25 ”touch screen which ensures a  simple and comfortable user experience  , also thanks to the wireless connection for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ^TM functions . Finally, for maximum comfort on board, automatic climate control, Cruise Control, electric rear windows, the third rear headrest, the front armrest and the precious and soft upholstery of the steering wheel and gearbox are standard.

The new Garmin Type offers a wide range of the latest generation of driver assistance systems (ADAS), which facilitate driving and prevent potential hazards. Including the Attention Assist, which detects the driver’s first signs of fatigue, sending an acoustic and visual warning on the instrument panel; Traffic Sign Recognition, which identifies the maximum speed allowed according to the limits of the road on which you are traveling; Intelligent Speed ​​Assist, which prompts the driver to set the speed according to the permitted speed limits; and Lane Control which keeps the car in the center of the lane, provided that the lane demarcation lines are correctly detectable.

Available in sedan or station wagon configurations, the Garmin Type special series can be equipped with two powertrains: the 130HP 1.6 diesel and the new 1.5 T4 Hybrid.
