SAIC-GM has officially released the official pictures and specifications of the Buick E4, the second pure electric model in the Auteneng lineup. Positioned as a medium to large coupe SUV, the Buick E4 shares the same wheelbase as the E5. With its dynamic shape, a range of exterior color options, and a price range of 200,000 to 300,000 yuan, the E4 aims to attract consumers in the Chinese market.
Exterior Design:
The Buick E4 showcases Buick’s new PURE Design concept, which draws inspiration from the shape of the ELECTRA-X concept car. The front features sleek headlights similar to the Buick E5, while the grille adopts a three-segment style with chrome-plated accents, enhancing the overall sense of movement. The side profile reveals a slip-back design, hidden door handles, and low-drag rims, contributing to a wind resistance of only 0.287Cd. The rear boasts a wider and thicker appearance with a double spoiler design, along with dynamic taillights. The car’s dimensions measure 4818mm in length, 1912mm in width, 1581mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2954mm.
Interior Features:
The interior of the Buick E4 closely resembles that of the Buick E5, with minor differences such as the design of the cup holder and mobile phone slot in the central armrest area. The E4 is equipped with the new generation Buick VCS smart cockpit, featuring a 30-inch integrated curved 6K screen on the center console. This display has been used in various GM models and is expected to offer similar configuration options as the Buick E5. Additionally, the E4 will provide five color schemes and 121-color music rhythm ambient lights, appealing to younger consumers.
Powertrain:
According to the disclosed information, the Buick E4 will be equipped with a ternary lithium battery. The two-wheel drive version will have a maximum power output of 150kW, while the four-wheel drive model will feature a front motor with a maximum power output of 143kW and a rear motor with a maximum power output of 68kW.
