2022 Hyundai HB20
Although the current sales of Korean cars in the domestic market are struggling, in fact, in overseas markets, the sales of Korean cars are still good, and specific products will also be launched for some markets. A few days ago, Hyundai launched a facelifted model of HB20 in Brazil. The new car adopts a new global design language and is mainly sold to the small hatchback market. The main rival is the Volkswagen Polo. You can find more visual details of the 2022 Hyundai HB20 gallery by scrolling up.
It is worth mentioning that the HB20 sold in Brazil is exclusive to this market, which is different from the i20 sold in Europe and other markets. The first-generation HB20 was launched in 2012, and the second-generation model was launched in 2019. The facelift is also to further enhance the competitiveness. Hyundai’s release this time is mainly the official map of the five-door version (HB20), while the four-door (HB20S) and crossover (HB20X) are expected to adopt similar upgrades.
In terms of appearance, the new car adopts a grille that is separated up and down, and a decorative line directly divides the front face. Some features, the L-shaped daytime running lights look more dynamic. There is no change in the side of the new car, and 16-inch wheels are used, and the rim style is also quite novel. At the rear, it adopts through-type taillights. We have seen this design in many modern cars, and it echoes the front face.
It is relatively simple to enter the interior of the vehicle, but the function distinction is also very clear. The full LCD instrument panel and the 8-inch central control screen further enhance the technological attributes. The air-conditioning control area is simple and easy to operate. I am used to seeing large domestic screens. In fact, this traditional design is also very practical. In terms of configuration, wireless charging, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, ESP, 6 airbags, hill assist, lane keeping, blind spot monitoring, etc. can also be selected according to the configuration, which is still very rich.
In terms of power, the HB20 uses two engines. The 1.0L three-cylinder engine has a maximum output of 80 horsepower and is matched with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.0T engine outputs 120 horsepower and matches a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The 1.6L engine on the old model is no longer available.
