E-Ulysse: FIAT’s second step in the electric world

The new E-Ulysse enjoys all the advantages of electric traction such as entry into all the ZTLs of urban centers and the quietness of the engine. It also stands out from other MPVs for its dimensions that place it at the top of the segment for compactness, guaranteeing full freedom of movement – E-Ulysse reaches everywhere, including all underground car parks thanks to the height under 1.90 meters – and a large handling, in fact it drives like a normal car.

These features, together with the modularity of the interiors and the capacity to accommodate up to 8 people, make it suitable for transport services for hotels, taxis and VIP transfers.

E-Ulysse represents the paradigm of Italian hospitality known all over the world: the welcoming capacity declined above all in the internal configuration of the spaces, similar to that of a “living room” where it is possible to host colleagues or customers.

Wellness on board

A new device for air sanitization by means of internal UV-C ultraviolet light makes its debut on board E-Ulysse: an innovative and easy-to-use system, as is the FIAT style. The customer can use the equipment on the vehicle and move it to different places, for greater hygiene inside the cabin by eliminating most of the bacteria that enter the passenger compartment.
On-board well-being is also increased by the three-zone air conditioning (driver, front passenger and rear area), with independent regulation for each individual area.

Panoramic roof: elegant on the outside, bright on the inside

The panoramic glass roof, standard on the Lounge version, makes the environment bright and offers passengers an excellent point of observation towards the outside, also useful for tours in the city center, where E-Ulysse can access thanks to the power supply 100 % electric.

The large glazing, consisting of 2 panels of 40 cm by 1 meter each with a total area of ​​almost 1 square meters, is characterized from the outside by an elegant and pleasant line, while offering an unparalleled view from the inside. If you need privacy or shelter from the light, each panel can be darkened thanks to a sliding curtain.

Between the two panels is housed the air conditioning diffuser with 6 individually adjustable vents and integrated temperature and power control, to ensure ideal comfort in every area of ​​the car. Finally, two LED strips guarantee a pleasant and relaxing lighting of the environment.

Comfort, modularity and ingenuity

The new E-Ulysse, in the Lounge setting, offers the possibility of having a real living room on 4 wheels, with five comfortable seats in the back, where it is pleasant to spend time with your travel companions, but it is also possible to organize meetings of work.

The particularly large seats and the reclining armrests guarantee the necessary comfort. In addition, the double folding table can slide between the second and third row and is an ideal support surface for the most varied activities, offering numerous storage spaces, it can also be easily closed to minimize clutter, disappearing between the seats.

E-Ulysse, both in the 7-seater “Salotto” variant and in the 8-seater Shuttle, has all the rear seats mounted on rails, so that they can be moved easily, reclined or even removed with simple operations.

The interior space can be easily reconfigured according to the transport needs of passengers and luggage: up to 12 configurations of interior space are available in the 8-seat version and up to 16 in the 7-seat “Living room” version divided into 3 rows.

Therefore E-Ulysse, with its infinite ability to modulate space, becomes the ideal companion for professionals who offer group transport, but also for all those who have to move in company, even to tackle a trip in their free time. , such as a trip to the mountains or to the sea, in which case the space for skis, bicycles or surfboards is guaranteed.

Drive like a car, load as a van

E-Ulysse is a Multi Purpose Vehicle with a car DNA, starting from the driving position similar to that of a car, which ensures excellent comfort even in the event of prolonged journeys. In addition, the raised seat position ensures optimal visibility on the road, while accessibility remains simple and effortless thanks to an ergonomic step in the cabin. To this is added the strength of the smaller size of the segment (height <1.90 meters, length 5.3) to ensure easy handling and driveability. Finally, road holding, comfort and suspension filtering are ensured in all driving conditions thanks to four independent wheel suspensions and variable stiffness springs.

The cargo volume is at the top of the segment, with a boot capacity of 4,900 liters (1,500 liters with all seats occupied) and the ability to load objects up to 3.5 meters long.

Safety and Infotainment

E-Ulysse offers an excellent level of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) which facilitate driving and prevent potential hazards.

Starting with Traffic Sign Recognition which , using the on-board camera, recognizes road signs and brings them back to the display and alerts the driver of the current speed limit. Lane Departure Warning promptly warns the driver if the vehicle is heading out of the lane and Side Blind-Spot Alert monitors rear blind spots, sending a light signal to the outside mirror in case there are vehicles too close during the overtaking maneuver. To these features is added the Forward collision warningthat, thanks to the video camera, explores the path to follow and warns the driver of any danger of collision with other vehicles or pedestrians. Active Emergency Brake Control will automatically activate the brakes in the event of a risk of collision, while the Rear-view Camera provides a 180 ° image around the vehicle, simplifying parking maneuvers. Finally, the electronic stability control (ESP) is governed by the Grip Control function which can be adjusted according to the type of road surface: asphalt, snow, sand or mud.

As for the Infotainment, there are three levels of integrated radio which, in the higher version, includes a 7 “color touch screen with Apple Car Play and Android Auto functions and a Connect Nav service provided by Tom Tom, with information on traffic, parking, service stations , local weather and Points of Interest.

Preparations and equipment

The 100% electric E-Ulysse offers an already very rich starting set-up, characterized in particular by 17 “alloy wheels, reclining and removable seats, three-zone conditioned area, removable work shelves and sun blinds for the rear seats, net storage in the trunk. A higher level is also available, called Lounge, which is distinguished by various top-of-the-range features, such as electric opening tailgate, panoramic roof with ambient light, Xenon headlights and adjustable leather seats in a “living room” configuration.

E-Ulysse, manufactured at the Stellantis plant in Hordain, France, will be available for order in March in Italy, Germany, France and Austria and will be available at dealerships from May.
