Elegance and style

Ypsilon today is more seductive, mysterious and sophisticated and has a new expression. To do this, he is also inspired by his past, by the DNA of the Lancia Brand: by that ability to innovate, by that Italian elegance and refinement that have always been his way of being.

The goal was to continue the tradition of elegance of the car by intervening on the refinement of the treatments of details such as the preciousness of the individual components, all with an innovative approach. Hence the idea of ​​returning to the vertical grid, a stylistic feature of the Lancia cars of the past, reinterpreted in a more contemporary key. Also new are the grille and the optical groups, which give the model a deeper look and a smile – thanks to the internal laser embossing – and an innovative character thanks to the use of DRL Led technology, a style content – which gives contemporaneity – and also of technology. The result is a front that gives Ypsilon new expressiveness and empathy, but always in the name of elegance and refinement.

Externally, all the chromes have been made satin – from the profile of the grille to the handles, to the Ypsilon logos on the car – as well as giving greater dynamism and at the same time refinement and technology. The color palette also reserves some innovations, starting with the new proposal of the launch nuance, the Elegant Blue: the passage to the new contemporaneity of Ypsilon is highlighted by the reinterpretation of the Lancia Blue, which in the metallic Blue Elegant version now appears more technical and inspired to design objects.

New outfit also for the interiors which come in two versions: Silver and Gold.

Silver, has a more casual, more informal elegance, wearing materials stolen from sportswear. The technical fabrics and textures that are reminiscent of the sweatshirts that are now worn even outside the gyms. Alongside the shades of gray, a blue variant has been introduced that binds to the new exterior color.
In the Gold trim, a new set-up played in shades of black and blue has been introduced with the reinterpretation of the Chevron, a great classic Lancia reinterpreted in a contemporary key, created through a 3D electro-welding process that gives a very refined and precious image. in perfect Ypsilon style.

Another novelty is the adoption of SEAQUAL ^® YARN, an innovative and sustainable material. SEAQUAL ^® YARN fabric is created by recycling the plastic collected in the Mediterranean: the yarn during the weaving phase is combined with other ecological fibers that are always natural, recycled or recovered. And for those who do not want to give up the elegance of Alcantara, the Gold Plus Pack is available.

Technology, sustainability and well-being on board

The renewal of the model also includes the technological equipment on board. Thus the new Ypsilon offers a new infotainment system with 7 ”touchscreen radio and the availability of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, to always be connected. Lancia Ypsilon continues to be contemporary.

Contemporaneity also means making sustainable choices: last May the Ypsilon Hybrid EcoChic was presented, the hybrid according to Lancia, equipped with the 1-liter 70 HP (51.5 kW) 3-cylinder Firefly petrol engine, combined with a 12 volt BSG (Belt integrated Starter Generator) electric motor and a lithium battery that allows to reduce consumption and CO ₂ emissions by   up to -13%, compared to the corresponding petrol engine, and allows access to tax benefits and circulation reserved for hybrid vehicles, according to local regulations.

Attention to the environment which is combined with care and well-being for those on board. New Ypsilon offers the new EcoChic Kit as standard on the entire range, consisting of the particle air cabin filter polyphenol Prime. It is estimated that about 30% of the world’s population suffers from pollen allergy, and that number has doubled in the last decade: pollution, climate change and global warming contribute to the increase in allergic reactions. Cabin filters help to trap impurities entering through the car’s air intakes or the heating / air conditioning system.
