Superior driving performance with low consumption
The SANTA FE plug-in hybrid comes up with one of the most advanced electrified drive systems. The new Smartstream petrol engine with a displacement of 1.6 liters and turbocharger delivers 132 kW/180 hp and is combined with a powerful electric motor that has an additional 67 kW/91 hp (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 1.5; power consumption in kWh /100 km combined: 16.3; CO2 emissions in g/km combined: 34). Together, this results in a system output of 195 kW/265 hp with a maximum torque of 350 Newton meters. This technology ensures superior driving performance with high efficiency: The electric range is up to 69 kilometers according to the WLTP standard. The plug-in hybrid drive train is also coupled with an intelligent all-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission.
Best in class in terms of rear space
Another highlight of the revised SANTA FE is the new vehicle platform of the third generation from Hyundai. It not only enables the seamless integration of the electrified drive train, but also creates a remarkably spacious interior with hardly any changes in external dimensions (4,785 mm compared to 4,770 mm of the pre-facelift model): In terms of legroom and headroom on the rear seat bench, the Hyundai SANTA FE leader in its class. Despite the additionally installed battery pack, this also applies to the plug-in hybrid, which, like all other SANTA FE variants, can optionally be ordered as a seven-seater “Seven”.

Funding of up to 5,981 euros possible
The new Signature package turns the SANTA FE plug-in hybrid into a luxury SUV. Nappa leather on the seats and a roof liner and sun visors in a suede look further enhance the interior. There are also other aluminum applications in the interior. In the Signature package, the adaptive cruise control system with distance control is supplemented by a motorway assistant that automatically keeps the car in the middle of the lane. This version of the SANTA FE plug-in hybrid can also be maneuvered into a parking space using the remote control without the driver being in the vehicle. If the driver prefers to take the wheel himself, a parking aid with emergency braking function protects him from careless parking accidents.
Hyundai is positioning the new SANTA FE plug-in hybrid to be on par with European premium competitors in terms of technology, quality and features. However, taking into account the extensive standard equipment, the electrified variant with a starting price of 55,750 euros offers a more attractive price-performance ratio than many comparable European models.
