Buick today announced that it will introduce the new-generation GL8 ES and GL8 25S to strengthen its multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) portfolio in China. The introduction of the new variants follows the launch of the all-new GL8 Avenir family earlier this month. It has given Buick a commanding MPV presence with an array of choices for customers.
The all-new GL8 ES features many of the design, quality and intelligent driving technologies adopted by the all-new GL8 Avenir family, the peak of luxury in the MPV segment. Its refreshing, elegant appearance is highlighted by a spread-wing sculpted grille and new Matrix LED headlamps. The addition of Buick’s first advanced driver assistance system, a streaming mirror and foldable tray table, electric sliding doors on both sides, and Buick eConnect 3.0 connectivity technology make it ideal for both business use and family use.
The all-new GL8 25S has sculpted styling, improved comfort and high-tech interior amenities. It comes with a 12-inch floating center console touchscreen and an 8-inch LED instrument panel. The GL8 25S supports intelligent connectivity functions such as voice assistance, Super ID, over-the-air updates and smartphone mapping.
The GL8 Welfare Edition adopts tailored solutions for disabled people. Electric swivel seats can rotate to the outside of the vehicle and are adjustable to provide convenient access. After passengers get on board, the seats return to their normal position and have locking functionality for added safety. The special edition also has the memory function for seats.
