About the Car

2021 Ares Design Porsche 992 Targa

Three years after the 2018 Porsche 991 GT3 Targa, built in two specimens to order, the Italian coachbuilder ARES Modena returns to work on the fascinating Porsche discovery, to give life to his latest creation in a one-off example: the new Porsche 992 Targa by ARES.

Born as a “one-off” project, the 992 Targa by ARES is characterized on the outside by the presence of a new aerodynamic kit, designed by the ARES Style Center in the Modena Factory and made of carbon fiber. The new components of the latter integrate perfectly with the original Porsche design, with the air intakes and stylistic elements painted in silver that create a pleasant contrast with the elegant dark blue color of the bodywork.

Despite its elegant and discreet silhouette, the Porsche 992 Targa by ARES shows an aggressiveness unknown to the starting model, thanks to new fenders that widen the tracks of the Stuttgart Gran Turismo by 4 centimeters at the front and even 8 at the rear. The new, muscular look of the car is complemented by new and larger alloy wheels, with a specific design and finished in silver gray.

However, the work of the designers and master craftsmen of ARES Modena did not stop only on the outside and the bodywork. In fact, even the interior of the Porsche 992 Targa by ARES has been completely revised and is now covered with the highest quality leathers and integrates new decorative elements. The tobacco-colored leather with a sample color chosen by the customer of this unique car covers the seats, the steering wheel, the dashboard and all the panels, while the characteristic ARES helmet with crest has been embroidered in the center of the steering wheel and on the headrests. Modena.

However, the new, impactful design also corresponds to improvements in the field of dynamic performance. The iconic 6-cylinder boxer engine of the 992 Targa by ARES was in fact developed by the Modenese technicians and now breathes through a new and specific sports exhaust system, thus being able to return a new and exciting sound and, above all, 60 hp in more than the original model.

The new Porsche 992 Targa by ARES is just the latest of the many unique and bespoke creations that ARES has created for its passionate customers in recent years. From the Corvette C2 Sting Ray by ARES to the Porsche 964 Turbo by ARES, without of course forgetting the extraordinary Tesla Model S Cabriolet, among the ARES projects there has always been space for “one-off” projects, vehicles made in one-off to order for collectors and expert connoisseurs. This extraordinary Porsche 992 Targa by ARES proudly fits into this exclusive collection.
