The heart of the 2020 Nissan NV Passenger design is its unmatched people moving capabilities. Its outstanding seating flexibility – with 4-row/12-person seating capacity and up to 324 possible seat configurations – makes the NV3500 HD Passenger Van ideal for both personal and fleet use.
Up front, the large, comfortable 1st row seats include integrated inboard and outboard wear patches for durability. Mobile office support is provided by an available large center console with storage for laptop computer and charger, business cards, hanging files, pens and paper and available 120V outlet. The space is enhanced by the design’s elimination of engine intrusion into the cabin area – along with the fold-down front passenger seat that provides a flat work surface.
In the middle, the split 2nd and 3rd row seats are completely removable and repositionable. In the rear, the 50/50-split 4th row seat can be partially or completely removed as needed. Leather-appointed seats are available for all four rows, along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 8-way power driver’s seat with manual lumbar support and front driver and passenger’s heated seats.
The NV Passenger’s utility is also enhanced through features such as a low step-in height, easy ingress and egress without intrusive seat belts (integrated into rear seats), wide door openings and rear 50/50-split doors for easy cargo and luggage loading.
Comfort and convenience items include standard rear HVAC system with dual rotating vents for each row, available personal map lamps for 2nd, 3rd and 4th rows, standard rear cargo lamp behind 4th row, an available 3rd row 12V outlet, available 120V outlet in cargo area and numerous cupholders and bottle holders throughout the spacious cabin.
Available technology includes the standard 7.0-inch display audio, Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System, Streaming Audio via Bluetooth® and RearView Monitor. Also available is NissanConnect® with Navigation and Mobile Apps with SiriusXM® Satellite Radio (SiriusXM® subscription required, sold separately) and 5.8-inch color touch screen display.
Standard NV Passenger safety features include integrated seat belts for all rear seating positions, head restraints for all seating positions and standard curtain side-impact supplemental air bags with rollover sensor for all four rows of outboard occupant head protection.
A Heavy-Duty Foundation
The 2020 Nissan NV Passenger Van is built on a foundation of a rugged heavy-duty, fully boxed ladder frame, also used for the Nissan NV Cargo Van. During development, the NV Passenger underwent more than 7,000 quality and durability tests, including corrosion tests simulating 13 years of life in just over 100 days and 700,000 door openings and closings.
The Nissan NV Passenger Van’s styling is professional and rugged outside and completely passenger-focused inside – offering a balance between functionality and comfort that sets the benchmark in class.
The NV Passenger’s modern style combines a Nissan truck twin strut signature grille, pickup truck-style front end design, large windows with privacy glass and steel 17-inch wheels. Other exterior features include multi-reflector halogen headlights and available fog lights, chrome grille and bumpers, chrome outside door handles and outside mirrors, extended heated outside tow mirrors and chrome-clad styled steel wheels.
Six exterior colors are offered: Cayenne Red Metallic, Pearl White TriCoat (Premium), Brilliant Silver Metallic, Super Black, Glacier White and Arctic Blue Metallic.
A Choice of Powerplants
The 2020 NV3500 HD Passenger Van is equipped with a choice of two dependable engines. The advanced 5.6-liter Endurance® V8 gasoline engine is a matched with a heavy-duty 7-speed automatic transmission, which features Adaptive Shift Control and Downshift Rev Matching.
The Endurance® V8 engine features four-valves per cylinder, Variable Valve Event & Lift, and Direct Injection. For use in the NV Passenger, the Endurance® V8 is rated at 375 horsepower and 387 lb-ft of torque – providing best-in-class1 horsepower and torque. The engine also features Direct Injection Gas (DIG™) technology, which provides better wide-open throttle performance and improved fuel economy and emissions performance (versus a non-direct-injection system) by reducing engine knock, improving combustion stability and offering precise injection control. An 11.2:1 compression ratio aids overall engine efficiency and performance, and a Multi Control Valve (MCV) assists in managing the engine’s thermal efficiency better than a traditional thermostat. The Endurance® V8 is also utilized in the NV Cargo Van, TITAN, TITAN XD and Armada models.
2020 Nissan NV Passenger S and SV grades are also available with a 4.0-liter 24-valve DOHC aluminum-alloy V6 rated at 261 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque, with a 5-speed automatic transmission.
Every NV Passenger also features an independent double wishbone front suspension with twin-tube coil-over shocks, solid rear axle with rigid leaf springs, heavy-duty disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and engine-speed-sensitive power steering. Also standard is a 28-gallon fuel tank.
In addition, the Nissan NV Passenger features easy access for serviceability due to its front engine/full hood design.
All NV Cargo models come with America’s Best Commercial Van Warranty2 – featuring bumper-to-bumper limited warranty coverage of 5 years/100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Nissan’s Light Commercial Vehicle limited warranty was inspired in part by the stories of Nissan Commercial Vehicles experiencing remarkable longevity under real-world work circumstances with businesses.
