About the Car

2020 ABT Volkswagen Transporter 6.1

Along with the ABT e-Caddy, the new ABT e-Transporter 6.1 is available to order right now at selected dealers of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV) and via ABT e-Line Partners. The vehicle is available in right and left-hand drive versions, all with the long wheelbase. This provides the optimum load capacity of 6.7 m³. As such, it is perfectly suited to professional conversion, with a universal floor and full cupboard or workshop system. The Kombi or Caravelle transports up to nine people. The maximum load capacity ranges from 977 to 1,096 kg. With a trailer, the total combined load weight increases to 3,770 kg. Unbraked trailer loads of up to 750 kg are possible. ABT e-Line is an official premium partner of VW Commercial Vehicles, and is responsible for conversion of the VW T6.1 to electric operation, just like it was for its predecessor.

Depending on specification, the ABT e-Transporter 6.1 has a range of up to 138 km (according to WLTP). Battery capacity is 37.3 kWh gross or 32.5 kWh net. Maximum output is 83 kW at a maximum torque of 200 Nm. The battery weighs 333 kg. The vehicle is available with top speed options of either 90 km/h or 120 km/h. Their respective ranges according to WLTP are between 105 and 138 km for a fully charged battery. Power consumption is between 27.0 and 35.8 kWh/100 km. The ABT e-Transporter 6.1 can be fully charged in approximately 5.5 hours via a 7.2-kW AC-wallbox. A 50 kW rapid charging station (CCS) charges to 80 percent of capacity in approximately 45 minutes.

Along with the available models, the key to the breakthrough of electro-mobility is an optimally usable charging infrastructure. With e-Charge, VW Commercial Vehicles provides ABT e-Transporter or e-Caddy users with exactly that: cashless access to one of the largest charging networks worldwide.
