About the Car
2019 Mercedes-Benz C63 S AMG Sedan UK
- Prices start at £66,429 for C 63 Saloon
- Available in both non-S and S variants
- First customer orders will start arriving in October 2018
- New C 63 range features refreshed interior and exterior
- Choice of four bodystyles: Saloon, Estate, Coupé or Cabriolet
- The C 63 features AMG’s hand-built 4.0-litre biturbo V8 engine which produces 476 hp and 650 Nm, or 510 hp and 700 Nm in ‘S’ models
- Depending on bodystyle, the C 63 is capable of reaching 62 mph from standstill in just 4.0 seconds and has an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph
- The C 63 S can travel from 0 to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 180 mph
- For the first time the C 63 now comes with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission (previously 7G), which has been specially designed for shorter shift times. A wet start-off clutch continues to replace the torque converter, ultimately saving weight and optimising throttle response
- The C 63 comes as standard with an all-new 12.3-inch digital cockpit display, combined with a new 10.25-inch central display – further enhancing the luxurious cabin
- AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with adaptive damping adjustment and an electronically controlled rear-axle limited-slip differential is now standard on all C 63 variants
- A new AMG-specific grille design helps the C 63 to stand out
- The C 63 S comes as standard with dynamic engine mounts, combining comfort with dynamic performance by reducing vibrations in the engine/transmission unit
- The C 63 showcases a new generation of AMG steering wheels, with an extremely sporty design, a grippy shape with a heavily contoured rim and intuitive operation
- AMG TRACTION CONTROL – previously only available on the range-topping Mercedes-AMG GT R – enables the slip on the rear axle to be controlled in nine stages, further enhancing the driving experience (C 63 S only)
- The driving characteristics of the new C 63 can be modified by selecting from the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programmes: “Slippery”, “Comfort”, “Sport”, “Sport+”, “RACE” (in the C 63 S) and “Individual”. This changes important parameters such as engine and transmission response, steering characteristics, suspension damping, and exhaust sound
- Standard across all bodystyles, the AMG Performance exhaust system gives the driver an even wider sound range – this can be adjusted according to the selected driving mode
