2013 MINI John Cooper Works GP2
The 2013 MINI John Cooper Works GP2 is the second generation of MINI's ultra-high performance hatchback model. Building on the success of the original 2006 MINI Cooper S John Cooper Works GP, the GP2 continues the tradition of John Cooper Works tuned MINI Coopers stretching back to the 1960s.
Overview
The 2013 MINI JCW GP2 is based on the R56 generation MINI Cooper hatchback. With extensive modifications by BMW's John Cooper Works performance division, it was the fastest and most driver-focused MINI model when launched.
Performance
With a boosted 211 horsepower from its turbocharged 1.6L engine, the 2013 MINI GP2 can accelerate from 0-60 mph in around 6 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 150 mph. The GP2 uses a fully adjustable coilover suspension and has upgraded brakes for optimized track performance.
Exclusivity
Only 2000 units of the 2013 MINI JCW GP2 were produced worldwide, giving it an exclusive limited edition status. This continues the tradition of low production numbers for MINI's GP models.
