The 1960 Eneos Renault Dauphine was built by Navy veteran Justin Cashmore and won the ENEOS x Pit+Paddock Show Car Contest, earning a spot in the outdoor SEMA display.
Cashmore's Renault Dauphine features a unique carbon fiber widebody that expands its width by 22 inches, along with a distinct patina finish.
A 2.8L Volkswagen VR6 24v engine, modified with custom intake and exhaust components, powers the Renault Dauphine, producing 230hp.
The car utilizes a VW 02M six-speed transmission with Peloquin limited-slip differential, offering efficient power delivery in a right-hand drive cockpit.

Additionally, ENEOS’s annual Show Car Contest has brought two more standout builds to the event: a modified 1960 Renault Dauphine with a mid-engined VW VR6 engine conversion, alongside a powerful 1100hp Mk4 Toyota Supra, both displayed in Silver Lot V024 and V025.

As a winner of the ENEOS x Pit+Paddock Show Car Contest, Navy veteran Justin Cashmore’s modified 1960 Eneos Renault Dauphine takes a prime spot in the outdoor display at SEMA. After serving in Japan, Italy, Florida, and California, Cashmore has channeled global automotive inspirations into his builds, with the Renault being a standout example. Originally pulled from a desert in 2017, this unique Renault became a Hot Wheels Legends Tour Finalist in 2019 and has since been featured by outlets like Stanceworks, Autopia LA, Hoonigan, and Avants.
Unique Design and Powertrain Modifications
Cashmore’s Renault Dauphine sports an eye-catching patina finish, with a Group 5-inspired carbon fiber widebody that extends the car 22 inches wider than stock. Behind the rear firewall lies a transversely mounted 2.8L Volkswagen VR6 24v engine. Enhanced with a United Motorsports tune, custom intake, and exhaust, the VR6 generates 230 horsepower.
Transmission and Cockpit Details
Power is delivered through a VW 02M six-speed transmission with a Peloquin limited-slip differential. The driver sits on the right side in a custom-built chassis, surrounded by a bumper-to-bumper roll cage for maximum protection. This custom setup also supports a pushrod/bellcrank suspension system that uses NASCAR take-off Schroeder sway bars for enhanced stability and handling.
Wheel and Brake Customizations
The widebody design accommodates 17-inch Felgen Factory wheels, wrapped in Toyo R888R tires for enhanced grip. To complete the setup, the Renault is equipped with a Wilwood big brake kit, adding performance stopping power to match its race-inspired build.
